When
planting marijuana seeds there are more advantages than
disadvantages to growing them indoors verses outdoors.
Planting
marijuana seeds indoors for the purpose of growing healthy
plants requires high wattage artificial lighting (usually
metal halides and high pressure sodium lights). Marijuana
seeds and/or clones (cuttings of other plants) are grown
in soil or are placed in rock wool (an artificial growing
medium). From marijuana seeds, the growth cycle is generally
3 to 4 months and can produce a substance with THC levels
as high as 30%.
The
indoor grower who utilizes proper lighting equipment, chemicals,
relative temperatures and ideal growing conditions can achieve
some very impressive results (over outdoor growing) with
only a few seeds.
Indoor
planting allows the grower to simulate consistent ideal
growing conditions that are not possible with outdoor planting.
Planting seeds outdoors, the growth cycle may be subject
to variable weather conditions from cloud, rain, heat or
cold that can have adverse affects on plant growth.
